I’m DJing at Il Bagatto tonight, kicking things off at 7:30pm. Just getting over a cold, so this will be my first glass of wine in over a week. Man, am I excited. Come celebrate!

Str8 West Coastin’ Rescheduled for Sept 17th

When New York City felt its first earthquake in over a century this past Tuesday, we thought it was a sure sign that this weekend’s West Coast takeover of Brooklyn was going to be on and popping like never before. Unfortunately, an old fashioned East Coast hurricane had to salt our game, and after a week of gloomy forecasts, Mayor Bloomberg has suspended subway service as of noon on Saturday. It is with sadness that we have to call it a wrap on Saturday’s BBQ, but we wouldn’t be the true players we are if we just took that shit lying down. We’ve moved the festivities to Saturday September 17th, and will be back in full motherfucking efizzect with all three resident DJs, a baller-ass menu featuring the best in LA-style eats, a domino competition complete w/ prizes from Flud Watches and Armory Survival Gear, and maybe even a few more surprises.

In the meantime, you can maintain your California state of mind with this here mix, which features enough classic music to bring the BBQ to you no matter where you are. So stock up on your Old English while you still can, turn it up loud, and we’ll see you on the 17th.

The compilation is being released in collaboration with Amnesty International and She Said 2 Much to raise awareness and money for Amnesty International’s “Stop Violence Against Women” campaign.

London-based singer, Belle, is the brains behind the project and has grafted to assemble an amazing array of songs from a selection of immense talents from the far corners of the globe. Proceeds from the sale of this release will go straight to Amnesty International.
