Bring Back Letter Form... .:Jul 30 10:.
Ges (3A, UPS) has always been one of my favorite artists for his letter structure and color schemes. He is downright NASTY widdit. What I always liked most though was that he never went TOO abstract with his letter forms. A lot of kids now-a-days go SO abstract that you can't even see that the letters ACTUALLY spell something out. I mean it's cool... I don't mean any dis to those who are all about gettin all crazy with the colors and what not. But you get what I'm sayin... Anywho, I stumbled on this and thought... COOL!!! Someone else feels the same way I do...
Ges: “Ive said it before, I’ll say it again… this is my favorite stage of a piece… everything from this point on is bells, whistles and tricks to dress it up and prove you can. The rough sketch is stand alone style (or lack thereof) This stage has the most energy, style and flavor… Like a singer with no stage, lights, soundboard, and backup dancers.. Graff lately seems like the movie industry with special effects… no real focus on the plot (style), just a race to see who can develop the latest special effect to “ooh” and “ahh” the viewers… Can you have both plot and effect? sure… but some of the best films in history had no budget… just a strong plot. One day I’m going to throw up my outline, and leave.. And I’ll like the wall better than with all that glitter smoke and mirrors that is graffiti these days.”

Comic Con Weekend .:Jul 26 10:.
WHAT a weekend... LOTS of FUN, lots of running around and catching up with old friends. Pretty much started with a media party on Friday for work for the San Diego Reperatory Theatre production of Hairspray. Free food and drank... AND I got to see the show too??? You know I wasn;t going to miss that. Yeah... you caught me... the nerd in me LOVES theatre, and this musical was DOPE! This song gave me CHILLS!!!!
The next day (Saturday) I got to hang out with one of my FAVORITE people and went to trade my 87 Haro frame...
For a FRESH set of 20" Skyways... (flicks of the finished project coming soonfor all my old school BMX lovers!)
Sunday, I got to roll around with the homie Kavet The Catalyst [Lightsleepers Crew, Hawaii] who was in town with Angry Woebot, Lofa, Slick and Dez. I took him to Access and Armory to do a little diggin and even found some treats for myself...
But as the weekend came to an end I still had not attended the con... But I wanted to take SOME piece of it home with me. So I caught up with my boy Woebot and swooped his comic-con EXCLUSIVE release of his Panda King Nightmare edition... even got it personalized too.

I GET IT NOW!!! .:Jun 15 10:.
So I saw this on SNL a while back and was like... OK... i KINDA get it...THEN I saw THIS!!! FUCKIN CLOWNS!!! HAHAHA!!!
